More about Siena..
I spent the first 23 years of my life in Tallahassee, Florida. I got my degree in Biological Sciences from Florida State University. While there I interned for the North Florida Wildlife Center, where I fell in love with working with birds. Ornithology has been my passion ever since. I moved with my husband to Nashville, Tennessee following my graduation. I now work part time as a field biologist doing surveys of breeding raptor nests. My love for birds has been reflected now in my art as well. One day I hope to have a bird companion of my own.
The bird perched on me in this picture is the one who really sparked it all. His name is Zulu and he is still a resident at NFWC. Zulu and I pretty quickly started to bond while I worked there until we became pretty good pals.
